Phyllis Graff

Phyllis Gulsvig Graff, 82, Pioneer House, Fargo, ND formerly of Kindred, ND died Tuesday, Oct. 15, 2003 at Meritcare Hospital, Fargo, ND. Phyllis was the daughter of Theodore and Emma (Kjeldahl) Gulsvig and was born November 1st, 1920 at Warren, ND. Phyllis graduated from Kindred High School in 1937 and received a teaching certificate from Mayville State College, Mayville, ND. She married Harold Graff September 21st, 1946 at St. John Lutheran?s Church. They farmed near Davenport, ND. Harold died July 1, 1961. Phyllis taught school at a number of schools in North Dakota and Minnesota including Perley and Fergus Falls, MN and Lamoure, Warren Township, Wild Rice, and Kindred, ND. She retired from the Kindred School District in 1985 and moved to Fargo. Phyllis is survived by three daughters: Susan Graff Mills, Loretto, MN, Nancy (Mark) Granberg, Fargo, ND, and Cindy (Vern) Thompson, Bismarck, ND. She is also survived by 5 grandchildren: Kari Granberg, Kelsey Granberg, Nicolle Mills, Will Thompson, Kathryn Thompson and 4 Sister-in-Laws: Jeannette Gulsvig, Doris Graff, Minne Graff and Beverly Thompson. Phyllis is preceded in death by her Parents Emma and Theodore Gulsvig, her husband Harold Graff, her sisters, Harriet Golberg, Adeline Lenthe, Bernice Rich, Eleanor MacMillian and a brother Walter Gulsvig. The funeral will be Monday at 11am at St. John?s Lutheran Church at Bonanzaville, West Fargo, ND. Visitation will be at the Fredrikson Funeral Chapel, Kindred, ND Sunday from 5-7pm and the Prayer Service will be at 7pm at the Chapel.
