Raymond Gilbertson

Raymond Gilbertson, age 92, Hillsboro, ND, died Wednesday, December 15, 2004, in Hillsboro Medical Center Nursing Home. Raymond Lyle Gilbertson was born April 23, 1912, near Hillsboro, ND, to Gutfred and Bertha Gilbertson. He was employed on area farms, worked in the Interior Lumber Yard, and in the maintenance department at Hillsboro High School for many years. He was well-known for his knowledge of sports and local history of Hillsboro. He is survived by four siblings, Arnie (Peggy) Gilbertson of Hillsboro, Gladys Smaby of Fargo, Walter Gilbertson of Santa Paula, CA, and Howard Gilbertson of Huntington Park, CA; many nieces and nephews, and great nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by four brothers, Wesley, Donald, Lloyd and Earl; and one sister, Eleanor. A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, December 18, 2004, in Wildeman Funeral Home, Hillsboro. Visitation will be held one hour prior to services.
