Raymond "Jack" Volk

Jack passed away on Tuesday, January 20, 2015 at Sanford Hospital in Fargo at the age of 82.

Raymond John Volk was born on June 18, 1932 in Linton, ND, the son of Pius and Judith (Reishus) Volk. He grew up in this area and attended school in Linton. Jack graduated from Sacred Heart Academy in Fargo in 1950. He was united in marriage to June Nelson on May 5, 1956 at Holy Spirit Catholic Church in Fargo. They made their home in Canada for three years where he worked in securities. They returned to Fargo where he founded Builders Management Investments (BMI). He also was co owner of the Bowler in Fargo for a number of years. During retirement years Jack sold realty for Asp Reality in Fargo and also Malstrom Lakes Area Reality. He was well known in the area for his golf tournament “Pair Jacks”. During his free time he also enjoyed spending time hunting, fishing and time on the golf course.

Jack is survived by his wife, June of Fargo; his son, Brad of Lake Melissa; daughter, Nancy Reger of Fargo; daughter-in-law, Julie Volk of Fargo; and his three very special grandchildren – Nina, Cari, and Jack. He was preceded in death by his two sons, Jeff and David; son-in-law, Jim Reger; his parents and step mother, Marge; and siblings, Bill and Bruce.
