Richard "Dick" Eveslage

March 14, 1946 ~ November 23, 2020
Richard Eveslage, 74 died on November 23, 2020 after a courageous battle with Sarcomatoid Mesothelioma. He was surrounded by his family at the time of his death.
Dick was born March 14, 1946 in Mahnomen, MN to Bert and Lorraine Eveslage. After living in Minneapolis as a small boy, he returned to Mahnomen and graduated high school. He was married to his high school sweetheart, Ann Grorud, in 1965. They have 2 daughters, Sheila and Shannon. The family lived in a few different states before settling in Moorhead, MN. Dick worked in construction for many years, owning his own company and retiring from NDSU at age 62.
He enjoyed spending time at the lakes and could often be found reading a book. Dick and Ann spent their retirement together traveling and spending winters in warmer climates. Dick loved his family and was especially proud of his grandchildren; Ethan and Jenna.
Dick is survived by his wife of 55 years, Ann Eveslage of Fargo; two daughters: Sheila of Fargo, Shannon (Mike) Neece of Marion,IA; Grandchildren: Ethan Gorder and Jenna Gorder of Fargo; three brothers and two sisters; Donald (Diane) of Mahnomen, MN, Gary (Vicki) of Culpeper, VA, Glenn( Jean) of Big Lake, MN, Gayle (Jon) Raye of Balsam Lake, WI, and Lynn (Jeff) Puhalla of Moorhead, MN. Many Nieces, Nephews and family friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, brother David and granddaughter, Amanda Gorder.
