Robert Bennett

Robert L. Bennett, age 77, Barnesville, MN died Saturday, March 10, 2007 at Barnesville Good Samaritan Center. Robert Bennett was born November 10, 1929 in Chokio, MN to Edgar and Lulu (Sandman) Bennett. He married Patricia Elsen on June 6, 1953 at St. Anthony?s Catholic Church in Browns Valley, MN. To this union six children were born. Robert received an honorable discharge from the U. S. Army after serving during the Korean War from November 16, 1948 to August 7, 1952. He worked most of his life as a commercial fisherman. He enjoyed working with his children. He is survived by his six children, Kevin (Brenda) Bennett, Joyce (Darrell) Korton, Steven Bennett, Bradley (Pam) Bennett, Terrence Bennett, and Kayleen (David) Liebelt; eight grandchildren; and one great grandchild; one sister, Betty Rowland; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; one sister, Beverly Lubbers, and a niece, Annette Lubbers.
