Robert Passa

robert passa

Robert died unexpectedly and peacefully, surrounded by family and friends on 9/17/2022.

Robert was the third child of eight. Born to Viola and Stephen Passa in 1950 at 6:38 AM in St. Elizabeth Hospital in Drayton, ND. After High school he joined the navy. He was stationed in San Diego, CA. Honorably discharged, he was drawn to San Francisco. There he found the beauty and lifestyle he wanted and made it his home.

Robert was a likable person and was loved and supported by friendships that lasted his lifetime. He graduated from San Fran State with a BA in speech/communication. He had a successful career with IBM. He moved to Fargo in 2017 wanting to be closer to family. He made several close friends.

Robert had a quick wit and many talents. He enjoyed days of Pinochle, going to the AM Vets, spending time with fellow veterans from the VA. And family get togethers. He will be dearly missed by all! Let his spirit soar!

Guestbook

  1. I’m so sorry to learn of Robert’s passing. My sincerest condolences to Robert’s family and friends. Keeping you in my thoughts and prayers.

  2. I really hope that Robert’s family will get some comfort knowing how much and how many people at AMVETs thought of him. I wish I would have known earlier that he was sick – I would really wanted to have had the opportunity to tell him that he was loved by so many of his friends. He probably knows!

  3. So sorry to hear of Rob’s passing. Deepest sympathies to his family & friends. Although, I hadn’t seen Rob in years, I will always remember his great sense of humor & quick wit. Rest In Peace, dear cousin.

  4. We knew, enjoyed, worked with and loved Rob for over 37 years. He was always a loyal and valued friend. We treasure the friendship.

  5. Robert was my first “travel” friend at IBM. After meeting him in White Plains in 1985 he sent me a stuffed animal, which I named City Kitty and still have. We remained sporadically in touch thru the years. I always enjoyed meeting him in SF, surprising him by throwing pebbles at his window and luring him out for an impromptu visit. RIP my friend.

  6. I just heard of Robbie’s passing! My mother & Robbie’s mom were friends. So we would have get togethers with the Passa family & ours. I hung around Robbie’s sister Paulette. Robbie’s was always so nice to us. It’s been a lot of years since I’ve seen Robbie. Reading about Robbie’s accomplishments I was truly impressed. Rest in Peace, Robbie.
