His family bought the bowling alley in Harvey, North Dakota and Roger moved to Harvey where he met his cherished wife, Alice Anhorn. They were united in marriage on July 28, 1956, and moved to Fargo where they made their home.

After the Bowler, he managed Duling Optical in Moorhead, MN where he spent most of his working career. Over the years, he cultivated a true passion for golf, playing in leagues, including the senior tour in his later years. He had an exceptional short game and verified certificates for 2 holes in one. Dear Alice and Prokop family ,
Sending you thoughts of love and peace during this difficult time.
Had the pleasure of golfing with Roger and my uncle Rodney Oxton several times in my younger days at Edgewood. Always smiling and a positive attitude regardless of how he was hitting the ball.
Lori and family
I always enjoyed my running into Roger and having a good conversation around golf of all things! He was a true ambassador for the game. RIP Roger and enjoy some golf in heaven.
Alice and family,
You are in my thoughts and prayers. May his legacy of love live on in all of you.
And may Roger have eternal joy with our loving God.

Roger was the best boss ever! I worked for him at D.O. in the 70’s, and have always had great memories of a kind man with a smile. May you find comfort in the joy he brought to all those around him.
So sorry for your loss Alice and family. Have lots of good memories of the Prokops from Nativity . “May the Angels Welcome him to Paradise”

My first memory of Roger was when I had to get classes in the 3rd grade. I was so scared that the kids would make fun of me and he told me not to worry about that and made me feel so much better about it. That was 40 plus years ago. In my adult years I had the blessing of knowing him and Alice. I will always remember his one of a kind smile and his dry sense of humor. He will be missed by many.
Good friend for many years. And memberof my bowling team for many years.so
Dear Alice and family,
So sorry for your loss. It is always difficult to lose a loved one. It is so final. I pray that the Lord will bring only good memories of Roger to mind and that these memories will get you through the difficult days ahead. Wish I could be there to help celebrate his life with you all, but that won’t be possible. My love and prayers are with you.
