Roger P. Kuntz of Kindred, ND, passed away at his home at the age of 67 on Thursday, September 28, 2023.

Roger was born on September 21, 1956 in Linton, ND to Peter and Miliona Kuntz. He grew up in Linton and moved to Fargo, ND where he worked in shipping and receiving. He married Monna Nagel in 1979 and they had two children, Melanie and Perry.

Roger spent many years working with the Moorhead wrestling clubs as an administrator and coach for Perry and many of his teammates. He was always a person his friends would go to for advice, support, and encouragement. He had a passion for photography and working on cars. He also was a long time faithful fan of the Kansas City Chiefs.

Roger is preceded in death by his parents Peter and Milonia Kuntz, his brother Robert Kuntz, and his half-brother Alvin Fischer.

Roger is survived by his former wife, Monna Kuntz of Fargo, ND; daughter, Melanie (Brian) Anderson and their daughters, Berkley and Brooke of Prior Lake, MN; son, Perry (Timeka) Kuntz and his children, Maddyn, Graham, Hudson, Ava, and step children Terrence and Tesiya Price of Golden Valley, MN; brothers, Joe (Katie) Kuntz, James Kuntz and wife Marilyn Hager; sister, Cindy (Mark) Geffre; half-sister, Angeline Brandner; and sister-in-law, Peggy Kuntz.

There will be a Celebration of Life at the Boulger Funeral Home on Friday, October 27th from 1:00-4:00pm, all are welcome.

  3. I’m not sure there is a nicer person than Roger. He was kind and gentle, generous with his abundant garden. Hearing of his passing makes me very sad. Love and prayers to all of his family and friends.
