Ronald L. Williams, 97, Prescott, AZ, formerly Fargo, ND passed away Friday, February 21, 2014 at Veterans Affairs Medical Center, Prescott, AZ.
Ronald was born February 6, 1917 in Moorhead, MN to Frank and Cecelia (Wamback) Williams. He was 1 of 7 children, graduating from Moorhead High School in 1935. After High School, he worked as a delivery man for a bread company before being drafted in the U.S. Army. He served in WWII under General Patton in the Tank Corp and in both the African and European Campaigns, fighting in the Battle of the Bulge.
After his honorable discharge from the U.S. Army, he married Violet Robillard on June 18, 1946 in Fargo, ND. He opened and operated a Direct Service Gas Station in Moorhead, MN as well as a Gambles Store in West Fargo before becoming a Realtor. He owned and operated NoDak Realty until his retirement.
Ronald loved spending time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He was an avid fishermen and spent a lot of time at his lake home on Lake Melissa.
He is survived by his children; Bruce, Bismarck, ND, and Theresa (Blair) Cox, Rimrock, AZ, 3 grandchildren; Daniel (Meghan), San Diego, AZ, Keya Hanson, Rimrock, AZ, James (Mel) Hanson, Williston, ND and 6 great-grandchildren.
