September 8, 1969 ~ April 22, 2024

Born in: Detroit Lakes, Minnesota
Resided in: West Fargo, North Dakota

Rory passed away at Sanford Hospital of a massive heart attack on April 22, 2024, at the age of 54.

Rory Ivan Pruett was born on September 8, 1969, in Detroit Lakes MN, to Roy and Jeanne Pruett, in 1970. Mom and Rory moved to Long Beach CA until his dad got out of the Navy. In 1971 they all moved to Cooper, Texas. In 1976 they moved to Valley City, ND where he resided until 2012 when he moved to West Fargo. On December 11, 1991, he had a cardiac arrest and spent the next couple years recovering from that. Anybody who knew Rory knew that he loved deeply, and he loved them “Cowboys” he’d get teased a lot about them especially from Troy. He’d just give him that big “Rory smile. He loved helping his brother with projects, mom with her yardwork and fishing with Georgie, probably at his lifelong buddy Aaron’s place.

Rory is survived by his mom, Jeanne Gilge of West Fargo, brother, Troy (Tina), Churdan, IA, beloved, aunt, Rosie and uncle, Daryl, Valley City, ND, aunt, Judy, Detroit Lakes, MN, his niece, Taylor Pruett and family of Spiritwood and nephew, Brandon and family, West Fargo and several cousins and fiancé, Georgie Graham, and his special Moilanen family, Rochester, MN.

Well, my sweet Rory, you always thought it was so cute your initials are RIP, so guess now you can.

Rest easy son, you are missed.
