Roy Henry Brinkman

Roy Henry Brinkman of Cooperstown, ND, passed away on April 8, 2026, in Fargo, ND.

Roy was born on March 21, 1961, in Ashley, ND. He was the eldest of three children born to Henry Delfred Brinkman and JoAnn Brinkman. Upon graduating from high school, Roy traveled around to various states and was employed by road construction companies. This allowed him to see much of the country. He ultimately landed in Cooperstown, ND and his latest employment was with Lakeside Construction and Services Inc. in Finley, ND. Sentiments from family, friends and co-workers highlighted that Roy was more than just an employee; he was a dedicated, hard-working, and loyal part of the team for many years. He took pride in his work, showed up every day and displayed a strong work ethic. Outside of work, Roy enjoyed western movies and books, playing cards with his friends and family and spending time relaxing after a long day’s work. He enjoyed traveling, especially to small, quaint towns and had a love of German food and culture, tinkering with his vehicles and anything related to the country life.

Roy is survived by his two sons Joshua Brinkman (Jenna) and Kyle Brinkman; his father, Henry; his sister Vicky; brother Nathan; two grandchildren Thomas and Claire; and a niece McKenzie.

He is preceded in death by his mother JoAnn and his nephew Eric.
