Ruth Ehlen

Ruth E. Ehlen, 100 of Fargo, died Friday, January 11, 2008 at Rosewood on Broadway, Fargo. Ruth was born on December 19, 1907 in Wahpeton, ND to John and Dora (Lathrop) McDougall. She grew up on a farm in Richland County and attended NDSCS in Wahpeton. On June 5, 1929 she married Mathias Ehlen in Wahpeton. They lived in Devils Lake, Williston and Minot before moving to Fargo. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; son, Dr. Matt Ehlen and brothers and sisters. Ruth is survived by her daughter-in-law, Phyllis Ehlen; grandchildren, Mark (Lynn) Ehlen, Julie (David) Van Voorhis, Michael (Julie) Ehlen, Tom Ehlen, Paula (Shawn) Myogeto, Dan (Gretchen) Ehlen; 10 great-grandchildren and her sister, Helen Dows of Page, ND.
