Sameh Karaz

Dr. Sameh S. Karaz, 44 of Delray Beach, FL, formerly of Fargo, passed away Saturday, August 20, 2005 at Meritcare Hospital in Fargo. Sameh S. Karaz was born on October 4, 1960 to Sobhy Soliman and Samira Soliman in Cairo, Egypt, where he grew up. He attended school in Cairo, followed by medical school at Cairo University School of Medicine. He then finished his rotating internship at Cairo University Medical School Hospitals in Cairo, Egypt. He was Board certified in Internal Medicine followed by a fellowship in Allergy, Asthma and Immunology at the University of Iowa. Sameh was Board certified in Allergy, Asthma and Immunology in which he had a thriving private practice in Boynton Beach, Florida. Sameh married Sarah Marie Hager on March 9, 2002 in Boca Raton, Florida. They have a daughter, Sophia Camille, born on December 19, 2003. They made their home in Delray Beach, Florida. Sameh enjoyed his many friends, traveling, cars and boating, but most of all, he loved time with his family. His many patients developed a strong personal bond with him. Sameh was a wonderful and loving husband, father, son, brother, uncle, friend and doctor and will be greatly missed by all. Sameh is survived by his beloved wife, Sarah and daughter, Sophia, of Delray Beach, FL; parents, Samira and Sobhy Soliman of Cairo, Egypt; brother Samy (Louise) Karaz of Fargo; sister, Soher (Samir) Sidhom of Westminster, CO and 8 nieces and nephews. Visitation will be from 5-8 pm on Wednesday, August 24 with a prayer service at 7:00 pm at Boulger Funeral Home, Fargo. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, August 25 at 10:00 am at Sts. Anne and Joachim Catholic Church, Fargo. The interment will be in Holy Cross South Cemetery, Fargo.
