Sedonia Gabrielle Lahren, age 36, passed away on Saturday, September 25, 2021 surrounded by family. Sedonia was born on Christmas Day, 1984 in Bemidji, MN. She was the fifth of six children born to Connie and Tim Lahren. The family moved to Fargo, ND when Sedonia was young, where she attended Fargo Catholic Schools and then graduated from Woodrow Wilson High School in 2003. After graduation she began her career at Elim Nursing Home. She started as a CNA, and worked her way through nursing school and she received her LPN in 2013. On October 23, 2008, Sedonia became a mom to Alivia Lou Heller, who was the light of her life. Sedonia was known for her caring heart, kind spirit, and bright smile. She would go out of her way to help anyone in need, and there was nothing she wouldn’t do for those she loved. Sedonia loved being a nurse, and her residents were more than a job to her; they became her second family. She loved to spend time with them while she was working, and on her days off she could often be found taking one or more of her residents to the park, to the movies, or out to lunch. She also loved spending time with Alivia, her family and many friends, who will miss her forever. Sedonia is survived by her daughter, Alivia Heller, her brothers Rich (Kristie) Lahren, Chris (Sandy) Lahren, and Josh (Libbi) Adair, and her sisters Bobbie (Jeff) Grob, and Savannah (Chad) Lewis, and many nieces and nephews, whom she loved very much. She was preceded in death by her grandparents John and Betty Locke and Will and Marjorie Lahren, and her parents Tim and Connie Lahren. Sedonia found shelter and a community of people at the Gladys Ray Shelter in downtown Fargo. Even when she was doing well, she still spent time at the shelter where she was always a big help to the staff. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Gladys Ray Shelter. Funeral services will be held at Boulger Funeral Home in Fargo on Thursday, October 7, 2021. Visitation will be at 1:00, followed by the funeral service at 2:00. Burial will be at Holy Cross Cemetery in Fargo, ND. Sedonia, we miss you dearly, and you will always be loved and remembered for the beautiful girl you were, even when you couldn’t see it yourself.

Thank you for sharing your beautiful soul with me and leaving an imprint on my life.

  8. I worked with Sedonia at Elim. She had a heart of gold. So nice to everyone and so compassionate with the residents. She talked a lot about Alivia…she was the center of her world. I am so sorry to hear of her passing. My deepest condolences to the family and Alivia. Such a great loss for all.

  9. I was privileged to have worked with Sedonia at Elim Care Center for several years. Her care & compassion was constantly an inspiration to me. Her smile could melt any hardened heart. These are the memories I will cherish, along with her laugh, which I can still hear today. All my love & sympathy to Alivia & all of her family/friends. Fly high, my strong, sweet friend. 🙏🏻🙏🏻❤️❤️

  10. I worked with Sedonia at Elim and I have wonderful memories of her loving, selfless, caring spirit. She treated the Residents with respect and compassion. It was always a joy to see her bring the residents to an activity that I was in charge of and watch her make sure they were comfortable before she left them.

  11. I am so sorry, so sad as we grew up together. I will always remember her and her long curly brown hair and her chubby cheeks. I will always remember her this way, always. Even though we haven’t seen eachother in years but we will always be childhood friends! I love you Sedonia and one of these days I’m gonna pinch those cheeks!! I will miss you, I will always miss you.

  12. Mom is with me and we’re both with you all virtually. Sedonia was the start that really blended the two families together. What a Christmas blessing and such a beautiful heart. Even through her struggles, her heart still shined and she helped others then too. Her time with all of you was one intentionally filled with love. The struggles she went through are no longer present. What an amazing deep strength and love she has for all of you. She fought through against every odd, to be able to share her heart and her love with her family that was the most important to her above and beyond addiction and struggles. She loved you all the most. She has made such an impact on everyone. What a beautiful soul and a precious angel we all have to share.

We love you all so much. We are so sorry for how difficult these past few weeks and the last years have been, but know that you have family and friends that embrace all of you with much love always. All our Love.. Cheri and Vernice Ostman

  13. I knew Sedonia from a mutual friend. She would always come along and help her friend when I had odd jobs for them to do. She was a hard worker. From the very short time I knew her, I found she was a beautiful soul. She had so much to live for. Rest In Peace my friend!

  14. I do not know the family but the hearing is the last thing to go in a person.
They do hear up until the end.
