Shannon Nichole Neil, age 48, of Fargo, ND, passed away peacefully with her mother by her side.

Shannon was born to Cheryl Neil on December 19, 1977, in Fargo. She was baptized at Holy Spirit Catholic Church in Fargo. She attended Carl Ben Eilson, Ben Franklin and graduated from North High in 1999. Shannon was student of the quarter, and she went to her first prom that year.

Shannon volunteered at Fraiser Day Care for eight years, where her job was keeping the babies happy. She worked at various jobs throughout her life: Pretzel Maker, Chuck E. Cheese, DWAC and VTC most recently.

Shannon had many interests. She participated in Special Olympics where she won many ribbons and medals. She participated in Camp A Day and Teen Night. Shannon loved music, movies, bocce and bowling. She was an avid Vikings fan.

The love of her life was Gary Graf. They went to many dances, sporting events and on many dates. Shannon will surely be missed.

Shannon met a best friend, Marly Pender. They had many great times together.

Shannon was preceded in death by her great grandmother, Catherine O’Neill, grandmother, Noreen O’Neill, grandfather, Francis Neil, Uncles, Rick O’Neill and Daniel Mattson.

Shannon is survived by her mother, Cheryl Neil, uncle, Kenneth Neil, aunts, Cathy Mattson (Dave), and Linda Haas, cousins, Matthew Gill, Christopher Mattson (Angie), Jennifer Guck (John), Jake O’Neill, honorary grandparents Linda and Bob Gill and many second cousins.

Funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, August 12, 2026, at Boulger Funeral Home in Fargo, ND, with visitation one hour prior.
