Sharon Hochhalter
Sharon Freed was born on December 28,1939 in Ulen, MN. To Luverne “Frenchie” & Myrtle Freed. She was in the graduating class in Horace High School in 1957. She was then married to Ken Hochhalter on September 30, 1960 in the Horace Lutheran Church, where they raised their family in the community for many years. Sharon worked as a secretary for Industrial Builders before retiring. She was an active member of the Lutheran church, while serving on the city council in Horace.
She is survived by her Husband Ken Hochhalter, Horace ND. Children: Robyn (Bruce) Sorum, McHenry ND. Shannon (Paul) Kist, Horace ND. Loren (Patty) Hochhalter, Scottsdale AZ. Melissa (Tim) Rhode, Fargo. ND Grandchildren: Christina (Chris) Mischke, Jacob (Kelsey) Sorum, Samantha Steichen, Jeffrey Steichen Jerad (Casey) Steichen, Sasha Steichen, Dustin(Colleen) Hochhalter, Ashley Hochhalter, Owen & Ella Oconnor, Logan & Mackenzie Rhode. 17 Great Grandchildren, 2 Brothers Donnie & Kevin (Debbie) Freed, Ange(Jerry) Koschney, Ron (Linda) Hochhalter, Barb Blummer, Candy (Ron) Schmickle, Tim (Cheryl) Hochhalter and many nieces, nephews and countless loved ones.
Sharon loved many things from playing to watching her family play fast pitch softball, her garden, crocheting hats, scarfs and blankets for her family while spending her winters in Arizona.
Sharon is preceded in death by her parents Luverne & Myrtle Freed, Eddie & Beulah Hochhalter, her baby son, her sister Lola Mae, granddaughter Sabrina Steichen, Sister-in-laws Susan Colter, Janice Skrove and Adeline Hochhalter.
