Sharon Stanley

Sharon (Bennett) Stanley passed away Wednesday, April 16, 2008 after seven years in a local nursing home. Sharon was born December 21, 1943, in Jamestown, North Dakota and grew up in Fargo- Moorhead. She married Douglas Stanley March 27, 1972, and moved to Milnor, ND. She was the mother of two children, Dannel Stanley, Corpus Christi, TX and Rosetta Stanley, Fargo, ND. Sharon graduated from Moorhead High School in 1961 and worked for many years as a maid at The Powers Hotel in Fargo. She was a gifted creative writer, an avid reader of mysteries and a fan of crossword puzzles. She was known for her love of children. She was preceded in death by her husband, Douglas; her father, Ira Bennett, and her mother, Vera Bennett. Sharon is survived by brothers, Harold Bennett, Portland, OR, Ken Bennett, Moorhead, MN, Gerald Bennett, Corcoran, MN; sister, Linda Bennett, Moorhead, MN; nephews, Michael Bennett, Matthew Bennett and niece, Rachael Bennett. Visitation: Sunday, April 20 from 4-6 pm at Boulger Funeral Home, Fargo and one hour prior to service on Monday. Funeral Service: Monday, April 21 at 1:00 pm at Boulger Funeral Home, Fargo.
