Sharon Wolf, 80, Fargo, ND passed away peacefully October 13, 2023, at Eventide Fargo, ND.

Sharon was born on September 28, 1943 to Theodore “Ted” Lepine and Helene Lepine (Krueger) in Bremerton, Washington.

Sharon attended school in Fargo and after graduating from Shanley High School she worked for Northwestern Bell Telephone Company. Later she worked for UND Family Practice Center and Multiple Media Consultants, retiring in 2000. Sharon then provided full time daycare for her granddaughter Emma.

Sharon met the love of her life in 1963, Matt Wolf. Sharon was immediately swept off her feet by the handsome, dark curly-haired German in a tan T-Bird. They married on a warm, sunny day on April 4, 1964. All of their married years were spent in Fargo. They enjoyed their winters in Mesa, Arizona.

Sharon had an incredible talent for painting, cross stitching, and sewing. Additionally, she enjoyed genealogy. Sharon was active in church boards and Shanley Alumni throughout the years. Sharon and her lifelong friend, Kay Kundert attended/watched many football games together which she loved so much. Matt and Sharon enjoyed their hobby traveling whenever possible which has taken them to all of the US states and 9 Canadian Providences. The majority of these travels were in their motorhome.

Sharon lost her husband, Matt, June 11, 2023. Her heart was broken. Sharon and Matt are once again reunited. We are reminded that love is more powerful than death and this knowledge gives us comfort and peace.

Sharon is survived by her three children: Mark, West Fargo, ND, David, Brandon, MN, Elizabeth “Liz” (Brian Schneider), West Fargo, ND, and daughter-in-law Sara, West Fargo, ND. Grandchildren: Michael (Josefa), Nicholas (Meghan), Jacob, Alexis (Mike), Brandi (Bryce), Holly, Emma, Brenton, Dylan, and Amber. 4 Great Grandchildren, Brother Steven Lepine, Brother in-law Donald Foster, Sisters in-law Frances Leingang, Julia Sorlien, and Darlene Wolf plus many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Sharon is preceded in death by her husband of 59 years, Matt, her parents: Theodore “Ted” and Helene Lepine, and several brother-in-law and sister-in-law.

Guestbook

  1. Dear Liz Mark David and Steve. Joyce and I send our condolences as you celebrate a life well lived. We will keep you all in our prayers this week and will watch the prayer service and funeral on the internet. God bless you all as you encounter this milestone.

  2. Mom always cooked up a storm before every big holiday or celebration. One year mom made a lot of kuchen and kept it in the freezer down stairs. One day I was raiding the kitchen and freezer for something to munch on. I found the kuchen. I casually helped myself because she had so many of them I didn’t think she would notice. So the very next day I raided the kuchen in the freezer. Still un noticed. This went on for several days. Then mom saw the kuchen stash she had dwindled down to only a couple left. To say mom was mad is the only way to say it. I swear I saw stars and awoke the next day. Mom always had creative ways of punishment for us kids. I guess she created and tailored a special one for me for eating her kuchen It was a good one. I never raided the freezer again. Unfortunately for mom, she had to make a lot of kuchen for the one’s I ate. Later we found out dad took some as well as my brother Dave. They only got verbal warnings. I guess I took to much. But it was so good. I will miss you mom. I know you are in heaven with dad.

  3. Liz, Mark, David & Steve,
I can only imagine the grief you are experiencing with the loss of your mother & sister. Know that God has a plan for all of us and he knows when it is time to call one to their forever home. Life is a precious gift bestowed upon us by God. Hold on to the positive memories and express gratitude to God for the countless blessings your mother (sister) showed you over the years. God Bless all of you.

  4. Aunt Sharon will be missed by so many! I’ll miss all her artistic gifts and bright smiles! Peace is with her. No more pain! She is reunited with her true love!❤️❤️RIP Aunt Sharon!

  5. Wolf Family, on behalf of Sunfield Estates II Condo Association know that Sharon & Matt are missed. Both were great assets to our building. Sharon served as secretary of our board 2010-2017, was instrumental in getting our by-laws updated in 2013, starting our memory book, changing decor in our community room with the seasons. She sprayed weeds and picked up garbage not only on our property, but the two neighboring Condos. They painted all the interior commons area and Sharon painted all the interior hall doors. She also supervised Matt as he trimmed trees and bushes annually. Lots of good memories!

  6. My sincere sympathy to Sharon’s family. Wishing you peace and strength for your mom’s passing as well as for you father. May they know eternal joy in Heaven together. My parents had a cabin at Lake Lizzie two doors down from Sharon’s parents. I was thrilled to have a girl about my age to pal around with – Hi Liz! I remember your grandparents fondly.
I truly hope that memories of your folks soon brings smiles to your faces… take care everyone
    Best regards, Jodie Helgeson
( p.s. Jim Helgeson was my dad and also worked for Northwestern Bell)

  7. Dear Mark, David, Liz, and extended family,
My deepest sympathy is with you for the loss of our dear Aunt Sharon.

Aunt Sharon was truly a remarkable woman. I know we all appreciated her great dedication in keeping us up to date on the Wolf ancestry through her compilations of histories and displays at the Wolf Reunion Picnics. I loved her Family Tree Poster Display and thoroughly enjoyed being recruited by her to participate in her plans and skits at the Wolf Reunion Picnics.

As we move forward, may we all honor Aunt Sharon’s memory by living our lives with the same love and dedication to family that she exemplified. Please know that my thoughts and prayers are with you.

  8. Sharon was a dear classmate, a potluck member, an art student , and a great socializer. These are things we enjoyed together growing up in Fargo. She was so cute, smart, stylish and really witty. All things I admired and envied in her. She also had principles and a moral foundation that drove her to treat everyone with dignity and fairness. She was an all-inclusive kind of gal.
The world will miss her. We need her!
The focus is now on her children and grandchildren to be the kind of people Sharon was. I’m sure you have it in you.
I send my sincerest condolences, including wishes of strength to you for going forward without Sharon.
    She was truly special.

  9. I have know Sharon since Kindergarten at St. Anthony’s School. We were friends throughout High School. Sharon, Rose Ibach, Mary Lee Fettes formed a potluck when we were in 6th grade. This continued thru High School too. I have very fond memories of going to her parents lake place in the summer. Many group sleepovers; the most memorable at Mary Lee’s home where we had the converted garage all to ourselves.
Sharon made sure we all know what was going on at Shanley after we all graduated and went our separate ways.
Sharon was a very dear friend, and I am so happy she is in Heaven with Matt.
    Prayers to her family.
