Shawn Oliver Dexter, 49 of Fargo, ND passed away suddenly at his home on Dec 30, 2024. With his loving wife DeeAnn by his side.
Shawn was born July 20th, 1975, in International Falls, MN to Larraine (Dilly) and Russell Dexter. He attended school in Littlefork, MN getting his GED in 1993. In 1999 he met DeeAnn (Fraley). In 2001 they moved to Fargo, ND, where he eventually earned a welding degree in 2004. Shawn and DeeAnn were married in 2007, having one child together, Oliveah, that same year. In 2022, he changed careers and became the warehouse manager at Dakota Wall Systems in Fargo, ND. Shawn enjoyed cooking for others and loved hosting gatherings. Shawn loved to go hunting, fishing, shooting pool, and spending time with his family.
Shawn is survived by his wife DeeAnn Dexter and daughters, Oliveah Dexter (Fargo) and Nikki Jo Sabbe (Canada); mother, Larraine Wood (British Columbia, Canada); father, Russell and step mother, Sandy Dexter (Int’l Falls, MN); brother, Shane Dexter (Int’l Falls, MN); sisters, Carrie Wood, Corinna Dexter (Canada) , Katrinna Dexter (Minneapolis, MN) and Melissa Wood (Canada).
He is proceeded in death by his grandparents Oliver and Dorothy Dexter; and nephew Sean Scott.
There will be a celebration of Shawn’s Life held later this year in Littlefork, MN.
You are my everything. I love you and miss you dearly. You were a wonderful father and husband.

Shawn, I was completely shocked at your passing. We didn’t see each other much but I remember our last visit and the wonderful meal you fixed. You will be missed much, I love you my sweet nephew. May God bless your family and be with them through this difficult time.

Many of my memories included laughter and teenage problems. During the time we hung out you were like a brother I never had. Looking up to you for advice.
