Stacy M. Lauinger
September 20, 1963 ~ September 25, 2022
Stacy Marie Lauinger, 59, passed away September 25, 2022 at her home surrounded by her family.
Stacy was born September 20, 1963 to Richard and Karen (Peterka) Croaker in Grafton, ND. She moved to Fargo at a young age where she attended school and graduated from Fargo South High School. While at Fargo South she met the love of her life, Arnie in the lunch line. Stacy and Arnie got married on August 6, 1983 at St. Mary’s Cathedral. They raised two boys while she was a stay-at-home mom. Later she found her passion and second family working as a paraprofessional at Bennett Elementary. This is where she got her famous nickname “Mrs. L”. Stacy loved traveling and spending time with Arnie, family and friends. She was so happy to finally be called grandma by her three little grandsons. Stacy enjoyed her flower gardens, spending time at the lake, playing Words with Friends and her Sunday fundays with her love Arnie. What she enjoyed most was laughing and creating memories with those she loved.
Stacy is survived by her husband, Arnie; children, Jardie (Lydia) and Sutton (Sheena); grandchildren, Julian, Elliott, and Conrad; siblings, Craig (Jane) Croaker, Kerri McDonald, Lana Bauer, Mitch (Kaci) Croaker, Tyler Croaker, Nicole Nelson; and many cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends.
Stacy was preceded in death by her parents; father in law, Conrad Lauinger; brother in laws, Jim McDonald and Joe Bauer; and little furry friends, Norman, Elvis and Boz.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made on behalf of Stacy to 4 Luv of Dog Rescue and Homeward Animal Shelter.

Oh sweet Stacy you will forever be a light. So many fond memories of yearrs past. Thinking of you, dear Arnie, your beautiful children & grandchildren, and your family and friend during this incredibly difficult time. Prayers to you all and hugs. ❤️🙏 Mike and Julie (Dollinger) Smith
I will cherish the memories and remember the good times we had on Lake Ida! Whether it was in your lake kitchen or dancing on the tables in Margaritaville, we had a lot of fun. My heart goes out to all of the family. Hugs and prayers to all of you.
Stacey brought so much joy and love to the people around her. Always smiling, so positive and ready for a good time no matter where she was. She talked about her boys, their wives and grandkids non-stop. Arnie was her best friend. So many pictures and stories. We will miss her tremendously here at Bennett Elementary. She had so much love for all “her” kids. Mrs. L was a popular name at our school. I will miss your smile in the mornings and that ‘Darn” whistle you would blow to wake us all up, followed up with a belly laugh.
Love you my friend, rest in peace and comfort.

So many good memories with you and Arnie. I’m so heart broken that I won’t see your beautiful face again. You definitely could light up the room. I will miss you my friend, even though we didn’t see each other alot, but I have a feeling you will finally meet Elvis Presley! I know how much you loved him like me. RIP beautiful girl! Hugs and prayers for Arnie, Jardie, Sutton and your grandchildren!
Rest In Peace my friend until we meet again.
So sad for all of the family. I hope you can find peace. Stacey was genuine. I will always remember Stacey growing up as being so humble and kind. Funny, pretty, classy and sweet. Beautiful inside and out. You knew you were going to have a great time doing whatever it was you were doing. If Stacey was going to be there. She is flying with angels. Again.
My heart breaks for you all – I’m so sorry for the loss of your Wife/Mom. Stacy was one of the most beautiful women I know inside & out.
Truly one of the most beautiful, kind, caring and compassionate women I’ve ever met. Rest in peace my friend. Til we meet again.

Arnie and family. I am soul sorry about the loss of Stacy. I did not know her well, she was in my sister-in-law’s wedding, but I graduated with Arnie. In this time of grief, you are all in my prayers.
Mrs. Lauinger was an amazing part of the Bennett Elementary School family. She will be dearly missed. The Bennett PTA has donated $50 to 4luvofdog in Stacy’s name. Our deepest sympathies are to all this great woman has touch in her short life.
I’m so sorry to hear of Stacy’s passing. I graduated from South with her. I did not know her well. But I will NEVER forget seeing her in the commons area. I used to think she was absolutely one of the most beautiful girls in our class. And to top it all off she was dating a senior!!! Wow, right? But, it’s very clear she was equally as kind and beautiful on the inside. My heart goes out to all of you. I know the FSH Class of ’82 will always hold her in our thoughts.
God bless
I’m very sad to hear of Stacy’s passing. She was a classmate and so full of fun. Even tho we lost touch, we always caught up if we ran into each other. Her smile, laugh and kindness will be missed. My heartfelt sympathy to the Lauinger-Croaker family.
Arnie and family, my heart breaks for you. There just are no words. But when I think of the spark and joy she will bring to Heaven, just as she always did here on earth, I cannot help but smile just a little. I pray for a peace and strength that will carry you all through the coming days, weeks, and months ahead. A life well lived is never forgotten. God Bess her memory.
My thoughts and prayers are with you Arnie and family. May your memories bring you comfort . Rest in peace Stacy. God Bless.
