Stanley A. Wendt, 83, of West Fargo, ND passed away on Friday, December 23, 2022, surrounded by family.
He was born on June 29, 1939, in Watertown, SD to Percy and Adeline Clark. Shortly after, the family moved to LaMoure, ND. Stan graduated from Marion High School. After high school, he joined the Army and served at Fort Leonard Wood, MO. Upon exit from the service, he relocated to Fargo, ND where he worked for many years at Industrial Builders. In 1974, he began his career at Case I.H. where he worked in maintenance for 32 years until he retired in 2006. During his retirement, Stan picked up a small part-time job at the airport and enjoyed playing games at Big Top Bingo. In 2013, Stan and Bobbi began their yearly, winter trips to Bullhead City, Arizona to enjoy their friends, family, and warm weather.
Stan is survived by his loving wife and partner of over 42 years, Bobbi, his children Greg (Renee) Langford of Moorhead, Krista (Terry) Erickson of Fargo, Linda (Mark) Dollinger of Minneapolis, Steve Wendt of Fargo and his grandchildren Amanda, Justin (Kristin), Tara, Kayleigh, David, Tyler, Reed, and Reanne, and his great-grandchildren Kaydence, Haylee and Camden. He is also survived by his brother Duane (Debbie) Clark of LaMoure, Del (Sue) Clark of Batavia, IL, his sister Norma Whitey of Shasta Lake, CA, and his brother-in-law Richard Peterson of LaMoure. Stan’s parents, Percy and Adeline, preceded him, as did his sisters Judy Ames and Nancy Peterson, brother-in-law Curt Whitney and grandson Timothy Erickson.
The Wendt Family would like to extend deep gratitude to the doctors, nurses, and other caregivers of Sanford, Sanford Hospice, and Eventide Cheyenne Crossing for their kind and compassionate care.
