Stanley Coryell

Stanley C. Coryell, age 66, Fargo, ND, died Friday, November 4, 2005 after a short illness, in the Veterans Administration Hospital, Fargo. Stanley was born October 9, 1939 in Berlin, ND the son of John and Florence (Yonker) Coryell. When a young boy, he moved with his family to Dilworth, MN. They later moved to Fargo where he graduated from St. Mary=s Grade School in 1953, and Shanley High School in 1957. He enlisted in the U. S. Navy on July 1, 1957. He was stationed in Alaska with a Maritime Patrol Squadron, and was honorably discharged in September 1960. He was a member of the Naval Reserve until 1963. He married Judith S. Unruh on December 9, 1961 in Fargo at St. Mary=s Cathedral. They later divorced. He began working as a communications technician for Western Electric in 1960. He then continued working communicationsfor Northwestern Bell and AT&T, retiring in 1991. After his retirement from AT&T, he worked part time at Hornbachers in the meat department until 2002. He was an avid golfer, and enjoyed hunting and fishing with his family, gardening and cooking. He is survived by his children: Charles S. (Tammy), Montross, VA, Randy A. (E. Marilla), Baltimore, MD, Craig T. (Debbie), Corpus Christi, TX, Kristina R. (Scott), Carter, Fargo, ND; two brothers: Bruce (Marie) Coryell, Green Valley, AZ, Richard Coryell, Fargo, ND; 11 grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Darwin Coryell.
