Steven Halvorson

Steven Jerome Halvorson, age 66, of Fargo, ND, passed away on March 16, 2023. Steve was born in Moorhead, MN to Jerome and Mary (nee Gillette) Halvorson on April 14, 1956. In 1982 he married Jane Ludemann. Although they later divorced, they remained close friends.

He grew up and attended school in Fargo, ND and later attended Tarrant County Junior College in Fort Worth, TX. Steve worked as the operations manager for The Western Group in Fort Worth and later returned to his home town of Fargo and worked for American Crystal Sugar.

Steve had a great sense of humor and was often described as a kind, loving son, brother, uncle and friend. While he had no children of his own, he loved spending time with his nieces and nephews. Steve loved cooking and baking and excelled at it. He had an impressive cookbook collection and loved to create his own recipes. He also enjoyed travelling, golf and reading.

Steve is survived by his siblings Joyce (Richard) Snyder, Pam Kramer, Patti (Steve) Krebsbach, Bryan (Judy) Halvorson and sister-in-law Patty Halvorson. Nieces and nephews Jessica, Kelly, Chandra, Nate, Ryan, Josh, Rachel, Michael, Matthew, Jeremy and Joel. He is preceded in death by his parents, siblings Dawn Olson and Brad Halvorson and nephew Jason Halvorson.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
