Susanne Dukart, 65, of Fargo, ND passed away suddenly Friday September 9th, 2022, at Glencoe Regional Hospital in Glencoe, MN.

Susanne Moon was born on May 4th, 1957, in Rapid City, SD to Vincent and Marjorie (Klapperich) Moon. She graduated from Redfield High School in Redfield, SD in 1975. Using her green thumb, Susanne cared for her plants and flowers in and around her home with their dog Kirby. She was also an avid baker and enjoyed making her children and grandchildren their favorite treats.

Memories Timeline

Guestbook

  1. Love you all very much. Most of your Tennessee family may not be there in person but we are with you. Don’t ever be afraid to reach out if you need anything. You are deeply loved… all of you

  2. Susanne was my best friend when we were very young in Huron, SD before she moved to Redfield. It was only a couple years but she left a lasting memory in my heart that I carry with me. We just reconnected on Facebook, those posts will be forever treasured. I am so sorry for her family, this loss has to be overwhelming. Please know you are all in my thoughts and prayers.

  3. Susanne was a special niece just like the rest of Marge and Vince’s children. She will be sorely missed and my condolences go to her husband and family😪❤️🙏🏻☮️

  4. Here’s to all my “Tuesdays with Morrie” – that usually weren’t on Tuesdays, were with Susanne (not Morrie), where I got to know Susanne a little better ’15 minutes’ at a time (15 minutes being relative.)

    • Love and hugs to you, Laurel. I loved being around Duke, Susanne, Heather, you and your mom. It was always fun and full of laughter. I was sad to hear of your mom’s passing, she was such a sweet lady.

  5. My sympathy and prayers to Susanne’s family. She was one on my best friends in high school and we lived together in SF for awhile. We haven’t been in touch except on Facebook as we went different ways but my heart breaks for you all. RIP my friend.

  6. To a very dear neighbor who was always welcoming and caring. We would occasionally sit and visit early evenings or if we were outside at the same time. Her flowers were beautiful and she took one of our plants we couldn’t keep alive and revived it. Such a shock and our hearts break for your entire family. God bless all of you at this time.

  7. My heart was saddened to learn of the loss of Susanne. Always soft spoken, she would greet you with a smile. Susanne & my cousin Cindy Hansen Fischer were great friends & I know she was there to welcome Susanne to heaven…May God wrap his loving arms around you all as you mourn the loss of the person Susanne was to you.

  8. Sending prayers and hugs during this terrible loss. Susanne was such a great person and remember when her and Duke first got together. A beautiful person lost way to young.

  9. Our condolences to all of Susanne’s family during this difficult time. Prayers as God’s Spirit brings His peace.

  10. We are so very sorry Duke and family. May comfort and peace be with you and your family. We enjoyed getting to know you and Susanne at St. Anthony’s and through Team’s of our Lady events. Eternal rest grant unto her, O Lord, and may your perpetual light shine upon her.

  11. To my bonus mom, I will love and miss you forever. You and Duke took me in and treated me like a daughter and supported me when I needed it. I loved helping with Josh and Amanda when they were born.
I’ll never forget the trick you played on me. Gosh I was gullable at that time. You told me you were related to Warren Moon, the NFL player. You got me good, but it’s a memory that makes me smile.
Duke, I love my bonus dad. A great man who I always look up to. Can’t wait to make plans to come up, and spend time with you, Heather and rest of the family. Hugs, love and prayers to all.
    Love
    Shelly (Juhnke) Schlagel

  12. Oh so sorry for the loss of your wife, mother, and grandmother. We are praying the dear Lord will hold you up in this time of sorrow and give you comfort. May the wonderful memories live in your hearts forever.
Bob & Maggie from Orange City.

  13. I’m so sorry to hear of your loss. Susanne was always a loyal, trusted and good friend; especially to my wife Cindy Hansen. It was a real blessing to have known her, and we’re forever grateful for her friendship. We all lost a true angel from God much to soon. You’re in our thoughts and prayers.

  14. The Moon family and my family lived only a couple of blocks apart in Redfield when the children were young. I believe each of my kids had a Moon in their grade at school and I worked with the sister Chris at the local hospital . Such a beautiful family. Susanne has left the world much too soon. I feel so much sadness for her loved ones and I hope they will find comfort in knowing that the mutual love they shared will always be with them . My deepest sympathy to all those who mourn the loss of Susanne.

  15. Susanne was a loyal member of St. Anthony’s St. Vincent de Paul Conference. She had compassion for every home visit she did along w/ another conference member. When she was employed @ Hurley’s Religious Store, I truly enjoyed our visits whenever I stopped in. Please know you’re in our prayers, may you have many good memories of Susanne & keep them close to your hearts 💕🙏

  16. Susanne was so much like her mom-a sweet and gentle woman. Although its sad that she has left this world, we will always remember her kind, generous spirit. Dukart/Moon family-you are in our thoughts and prayers. Bonnie and Mark Genereux

  17. I know that God has the plan, but goodness, sometimes it is hard to grasp, let alone understand. Susanne was such a blessing to visit with, attend sporting events with, and serve on committees with. Her passing brings heavy emotion to my family. Eric shared her obituary with me. California guy on top of information about people here that meant so much in his younger years.
We each pray that the sadness and heavy heart your family must be feeling, soon is replaced with comfort knowing you will always have her with you in your hearts, until you meet again.
And know Kirby will mourn too but then step up to show the love that Susanne always showed him. Take care friends.

  18. Dearest Moon family
I am beyond saddened by Susanne’s sudden death and my heart breaks for all of you! Your family has always had a very special place in our hearts and all my love goes out to you over the next two days and on. I wish that I could be there for you but please know that I am with you in spirit praying for peace for you Duke, my dear cousins and all of Susanne’s family and friends.
    Love and prayers,
    LaNae (Moon) Ceryanec

  19. We want to thank you Duke and Susanne for treating our mom Wilma with love and kindness like she was your own. And now the two of them are enjoying eternal happiness in Heaven with Jesus Mary Joseph and all the Holy Angels and Saints. That is God’s Will, nothing more, nothing less, nothing Else…

  20. Our deepest sympathy to the Dukart Family. Sending Thoughts, Prayers and Hugs your way.

    Love and Prayers,
    David, Merralee (Praus) Morse

  21. Susanne and I were friends before husbands and kids when we both lived in Aberdeen. I will never forget Susanne and that contagious laugh of hers. My deepest sympathies go out to her family and especially to my dear friend and Susannes sister,Paula. God’s comfort and peace be with you all!
