Terry Dale Olson, 82, died peacefully at home in Fargo on Saturday, January 21, 2023 of COVID-related causes.
Terry was born on April 15, 1940 and was raised on a farm in Moore Township near Enderlin, ND. He attended Enderlin High School where he was active in plays, choir, student council, and football.
After attending the University of North Dakota for a year, Terry went to work for the North Dakota State Highway Department for several years. He moved to California where he worked for the City of Hayward public works department. He later worked for the consulting engineering firm of Kadmas, Lee, and Jackson; Monterey County, California; and North Dakota State Department of Transportation.
Terry was a loving husband to his wife, Julie. He had an infectious sense of humor. He was a big tipper and the generous supporter of public service organizations including Wounded Warriors, Salvation Army, Association for Prevention of Cruelty to Animals, and the New Life Center homeless shelter for men, among others.
Terry is survived by his wife, Julie Olson, and children Mitchell Olson, Chris Olson, and Sarah Smith, and 13 grandchildren.
