Memories Timeline

Guestbook

  1. I knew Terry as a man that my daughter loved when she became part of your family. I knew him as a man that was quite and held a great pride and love for his wife, children, and his grand children. I saw him as a man that had a great love for his God and I believe he is with him now.
Even though I was not around him often I will miss him.
Keep him on your hearts, as memories are what you have now. They should be considered a blessing from God to you at this time of your trial.
God’s blessings to each of you.

  2. Terry is one of my first cousins and he worked on my parent’s farm in Pettibone, ND during the summers of his high school years. He was the big brother I never had. We had a lot of fun during the summer, and I know my dad appreciated his help. It was always sad when he left to go back to Fargo. Blessed be his memory.

  3. Terry was a man dedicated to his family first and foremost. He loved my sister Annie without a doubt. We have known him for the past 50 years as a man of few words, a dedicated worker, good cook and friend to many. We had good times and sad times. He enjoyed sports played by his kids and grandkids and was there to support their efforts. He loved them all.
Terry was dedicated to making sure his children had a good Catholic education and helped with projects at St. Anthony’s Church. We shared worship and sacraments together. We were part of their wedding as they were part of ours at St. Anthony’s. That is where we will say our final goodbyes to him this week for the last time. Go with God, Terry.

  5. I will miss seeing Terry at family picnics, always quietly cooking at the grill and cleaning up. If you asked him if he needed help, he would say “nope, it’s my job”
To my sister Annie, children and grandchildren, I wish you quick passage through the painful mourning He will be with you in spirit at every practice, every game, and every family holiday and get together Your joy wil come in speaking his name and reminiscing
    Love and prayers
    💜💜💜

  6. I’ll never forget the Sportcenter highlight play Senior made at the Madison field. It is kind of prophetic as the role hockey ended up playing in his later years with all of the Steinhouse clan hockey to come. The crack of the bat, there goes Terry senior running full speed with his back to the ball. Terry turns around to backpedal he has tracked and timed the ball pefectly. As he backpedals into the mound used to contain the ice skating rink and begins to fall backwards…here comes that ball like a ninja warrior his glove hand slices through the air… Terry momentarily is gone to everyone in the infield and stands. Splayed out flat on his back the glove hand stabs triumphantly skyward with a homer stealing snatch. You’re out comes the call from back towards old Madison school. I reach down my hand and the ninja allows me to assist him upright again with a grin as big as Texas.
“Old man strength Mehl. You may understand it one day” a prophet and a ninja! God blessed the family with Terry Sr. I know he will live on in all of you! Be a light…

  10. Worked with Terry at Mitchell’s TV doing deliveries with him. He was always a lot of fun to be around. When Terry was at Appliance parts I would run into him and he talked about his kids and what they were doing. A truly wonderful person.

May God’s love hold you all close to comfort you for the loss of your loving Husband and Father.

  14. Dearest Ann and Family, my sincerest, heartfelt sympathy in the sudden loss of Terry (loving husband and father/grandfather). I am away on vacation visiting my brothers in Arizona when I heard the news by my daughter Janel, a dear, dear friend of Tony through all their years of school together and a great friendship. I am so sorry I won’t be able to be there with the family for the service, but do know that all of you will be in my thoughts and prayers and a hug goes out to each and every one of you, and that you will find comfort in the many, many wonderful memories to treasure forever. God so loves you and will always be with you, as He has promised. I thought a lot of Terry over the many, many years our families shared times of faith and the growing up years of our children, and many laughs. Again, my heartfelt sympathy.
