Theresa’s Mass of Christian Burial:

Theresa’s Prayer Service:

Theresa Lothspeich, 88, of Fargo ND was celebrating with her family and friends on July 2nd 2022 in rural Wyndmere ND when she went into cardiac arrest. She was transported to Essentia Health in Fargo ND, where her husband and seven children surrounded her in her final moments. Many thanks to the Wyndmere and FM Ambulance services and ER staff at Essentia in Fargo.

Theresa May Loegering was born January 16th 1934 at her family farm in Richland County ND to Herman and Mary (May) Loegering. She went to three country grade schools in rural ND, high school at St Francis Academy in Hankinson ND, and college in Ellendale ND. Theresa taught at Brampton for one year and then went to college to complete her teaching certificate. She worked at Agricultural, Stabilization and Conservation office in Forman ND. She returned to teaching in Langdon ND where she met Richard Lothspeich in February 1956 and they married October 27th 1956 in Cogswell ND.

Richard and Theresa made their home in Fargo ND where they raised their family and she began her sewing alteration business from home in 1966. Dick and Theresa were charter members of Nativity Church where she was an active member. Theresa was on the planning committee for the addition to the church in 1979, and served as the secretary for the Pastoral Council for 10 years. She made baptismal garments and prayer shawls, served at funerals, went to daily mass and enjoyed fellowship with many parishioners. They also had a winter home in Mesa AZ and made many memories with new friends at Windsor Park and Christ the King Church.

Theresa stayed busy with sewing, making crafts, making greeting cards, doing needlework, reading books, putting puzzles together, completing crossword puzzles, playing pinochle and many other activities. She created an annual family calendar that was loved and treasured by everyone. Theresa enjoyed having people in her home and always made them feel welcome. Spending time with her grandkids often involved playing games, baking, dancing, going to the park and being an amazing role model. She always had a smile on her face that was heartwarming.

  16. Godmother,
Your passing brings me great sorrow. You were put in to your role on the day I was born, Thanksgiving 1956, when you and Dick (my godfather) came to the rescue and prepared Thanksgiving Dinner for my 4 siblings and my father while mom tended to me in the hospital.
The many visits we made to Fargo and your family to Grand Forks was always a good time playing with my cousins. I vividly remember your charm, and your caring and happy style.
Your eternal happiness has begun, I pray that you may watch over and guide Dick and your entire family!
    In Sympathy, your godson,

    Gregory Lykken
