Timothy Francis Palmer passed away peacefully on Tuesday, October 22, 2013 at the Palliative Care Unit of Sanford Hospital South Fargo, surrounded by his loving family.

Tim was born on April 1, 1944, the son of Edwin and Gladys (Denenny) Palmer in Fargo, ND. He grew up in Casselton, ND and graduated from Shanley High School, Fargo, ND.

He married Ruth Holte on February 10, 1968. They made their home in Georgetown, MN where they raised 3 daughters, Ranae, Christina and Rachael, and several foster children.

  5. West Fargo ND
Tim’s Family & Steve, Rick and Families,
So very sorry for your loss. Our thoughts and prayers are with you all.
Our families go back a long way living across the alley from each other in Casselton. Your Dad Ed, barber to my Dad and brothers. The Palmer boys were a bit older than me closer to my sister Joans age. However even us younger girls on the block thought the Palmer boys were the best looking boys that ever lived.
I remember one winter Ed and my Dad “Nooks”, took Tim, my brother Bob and me to Concordia to see the Harlem Globe Trotters play basketball for the first time in our area. We all piled in the car driving in from Casselton. We had a super time.
There are many fond memories of the Palmer family.

“No time on earth is long enough to share with those we love or to prepare our hearts for that last goodbye.”

    Sincerely,
    Renee and “Nooks”

  6. Windsor Heights IAMay God be with you all during this difficult time. Tim’s family and the Larson family lived a block from each other growing up in Casselton and were quite close. Tim and I were boyfriend/girlfriend in 4th grade and walked home from school hand in hand. He would pick neighbors flowers for me. I have many fond memories of our growing up years in school and reunions that followed during the years. I am so thankful that Tim could be there last year for our 50th class reunion and we could spend time together. God is so great! Tim and LaRae had a love for my sister Carla who helped a lot as a babysitter for Ashley and Derek whom she loved dearly. I visited with family members at Mick’s every time I spent time in Fargo with my sister until they sold the business. May God bless and comfort each of you and give you His peace. Love and prayers, Carol
