Tracy Lea Tjon (Rehder), 45 years old, from Moorhead, MN, passed away on Tuesday, August 1, 2023, in Moorhead, MN. She passed from natural causes due to a medical condition.

She was born on February 13, 1978, in Fargo, ND to happy parents Chester Rehder and Debra McCullough. For most of her childhood, she lived in Reile’s Acres. Tracy graduated from West Fargo High School in 1996. As a baby, she modeled for Herbst Department Store. At the age of 6 she won a beauty pageant and as a teen she modeled for Madame Butterfly. She was an accomplished figure skater and hockey cheerleader in high school.

Tracy married her sweetheart Jeremy Tjon on April 20, 2002, at Faith Lutheran Church in West Fargo. She graduated from Moorhead State University in May of 2004 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Criminal Justice. Moorhead, MN has been their home during their marriage. They have 3 amazing boys, Owen (16), Briggs (13), and Gage (11). Her 3 sons were the light of her life.

Tracy’s first job was as a checker at Hornbacher’s. During college she worked as a bartender at the Bismarck. In both of those jobs her love of people shined bright. Tracy had a way of making others feel heard and that was a gift to so many. After college graduation, she worked as a paralegal for a local law firm.

As a child she attended Faith Lutheran Church in West Fargo. At the tender age of 9 she attended the Greater Red River Valley Billy Graham Crusade in 1987 at NDSU with her mom and sister. Both girls went forward and were saved and attended weeks of Bible Study from the crusade with their mom. Tracy was confirmed at Faith Lutheran and loved that church and its traditions.

As a child and adult she loved camping, boating, fishing, swimming and skiing at the lakes with her family. That love continued once married, with children and she built her own beautiful memories with Jeremy and the boys. Her favorite was watching the boys in their activities from choir, to baseball and hockey she never tired of cheering on her guys.

Survived by husband, Jeremy, children: Owen, Briggs, and Gage, sister Robin (Ted) Bailey and their children Natalie, Will, Lydia and Anika, parents Chester Rehder and Debra McCullough, In-laws Curt and Mavis Tjon, sister-in-law Stacey (Tom) Bossart and his children Gunnar and Gabby, and brother-in-law Chris (Kelly) Tjon, and Aunts, Uncles, and Cousins. Tracy was proceeded in death by Grandparents, nephew James Tjon, step-father Jim McCullough, and uncles Gary Rehder and Rocky Jordahl.

I knew Tracy first from her years at the Bismarck Tavern, and in later years i delivered mail at the law office where she worked. No matter what time of day or what year, whenever we crossed paths, she was a smiling, bright beacon, a joy to all she would meet. She took time to connect with the kindest heart, to laugh and trade stories, all while dazzling everyone with those bright blue eyes, rocking that precision-pink lip gloss like no other. I feel lucky to have known her.
