Travis Leonard Posch passed away at Fargo, North Dakota on July 14th at age 27. Travis was born to John and Cathy Posch in Detroit Lakes, MN on June 8th, 1990. He moved with his family to Hawley, MN and graduated from Hawley High School in 2009. After high school Travis worked as an electrician. He was currently employed by Magnum Electric. Travis loved the outdoors. He four-wheeled, fished, and hunted with friends. And Travis had a vibrant personality. He was known for his humor, his quick smile, and his caring and giving nature. He loved his family including the many dogs that were an integral part of their lives. Travis is survived by his parents, John and Cathy, of Hawley Mn and his brother Brandon and grandmother, Patricia Posch, both of Fargo. Surviving aunts and uncles include: Mike and Kim Galt, Omaha, NE; Dave and Debbie Galt, Fargo, ND; Lori and Dave Zabel, Horace, ND; Deb Posch and Dan Amundson, Moorhead, MN; Becky Flatness, West Fargo, ND; Jeff and Deborah Posch, Sacred Heart, MN. He also leaves many cousins and countless friends that will miss him dearly. He was preceded in death by his grandparents Montie and Janice Galt and Leonard Posch. A celebration for life will be held at Boulger Funeral Home in Fargo at 10 am on Friday July 21. The visitation will begin at 9am. In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred.

  9. Sorry to hear of Tavis’s passing. I didn’t know Tavis as a young adults but more as a young boy. Kasey loved spending time with Tavisi on his birthdays.

  13. I was Travis’ 6th grade teacher. Travis had such a big heart and a great sense of humor. He wasn’t always the easiest kid to have in class as he liked to be the class clown, but it was very hard to stay mad at him. My thoughts and prayers are with all of you during this difficult time.
