Troy Donald Van Zee, 54, Fargo, North Dakota, died March 28, 2023, after a battle with cancer.

Troy was born on July 29, 1968, and grew up on a dairy farm in Sunburg, Minnesota. He graduated from KMS High School in 1986, where he was very good in sports, especially football. He attended Willmar Vo-Tech before joining the United States Army in March of 1987. He worked in the motor pool as a mechanic. He married his high school sweetheart, Nancy Larson, in August of 1988. They lived in Killeen, Texas, while he finished his 3 year commitment to the Army. They then moved to Fargo where Troy worked at Aamco Transmissions as a mechanic. Once Aamco closed down, he then went to work for All Season Motorsports. He sold many golf carts for them. He also obtained a CDL, so he could deliver their rental fleet to various locations.

Their marriage was blessed with two children, Jordan and Tayler. Troy enjoyed spending time with his family, hunting and fishing. He enjoyed annual trips to Leech Lake for a week of fishing and relaxation. Troy was a very fun-loving guy, who will be missed by many.

He is survived by his wife of 34 years, Nancy, son Jordan, daughter Tayler, mom, Carmen, brother, Todd (Jayne), and many nieces and nephews.

Troy was preceded in death by his dad, Donald, and his sister Kari Lundberg.
