Tyler Sperling was a man who captured every possible bit of sunlight, savored every flavor of life, and loved unconditionally. He radiated positivity, laughter, and love to all who were fortunate enough to be blessed with his company and friendship.

Tyler passed away the evening of July 11, 2022, at Bryan Memorial Hospital in Lincoln, NE after a 40-day battle that originated with appendicitis. He was surrounded with love from his family.

Tyler Scott Sperling was born February 20, 1985, in Ashley, ND. He spent his early years in Lehr, ND later moving to Fargo, ND and eventually graduating from Kindred High School in 2003 where he gained the nickname “The Chief of Beef” or “Chief” for short.

Tyler made a lot of friends in his 37 years. He loved people, all people. Tyler also loved the outdoors, fishing, camping, live music, karaoke, the company of his family and friends, preparing food for loved ones, and most of all spending his time with his loving fiancé, Erika Fryslie, whom he referred to as his “favorite person” and their dog, Clyde.

Tyler took every opportunity to lift, inspire, motivate, encourage, and otherwise support those around him which is why he will be immensely missed.

Tyler is survived by his fiancé, Erika Fryslie; mother, Cindy Kungel; grandmother, Norma Sperling; brother and wife, Dustin and Tressa Sperling; nephews: Keller Sperling, Quinn Sperling and Coen Sperling; aunts and uncles: Thomas and Nancy Sperling, Craig and Lori Sperling, and Larry and Cheryl Crawford; cousins, Carmen Lee, Marc Crawford, Darin Kungel, Jonathan Kungel, Christopher Sperling, and Matthew Sperling.

Tyler is now reunited with his father, James Sperling; grandfather, Elmer Sperling; grandparents Richard and Delia Kungel; and uncle, Darwin Kungel.
