Violet Mae Schlosser Stames, 88, of Reno, NV passed away on June 12, 2025, at her home.
Vi was born in Shields, ND on April 30, 1937, to Frank and Margaret Schlosser. She was raised on a farm near Argusville and attended Argusville High School along with her sister Marjorie and brother Edward. Vi attended Business School in Fargo, ND. In 1956, Vi moved to Seattle, WA. Vi showed her adventurous side in 1966 by working at USAID in Saigon during the Vietnam War. There she met and married her husband Thomas on July 19, 1969. Vi and Tom lived in many places while Tom served in the Air Force. They were blessed with the birth of their son Timothy on June 4, 1971, who joined Tom’s children Char and Tom III. Vi and Tom would have celebrated their 56th wedding anniversary this July.
Vi enjoyed traveling, quilting, cooking, golfing and spending a few hours at the casino. She always took the time to stay connected to family, never missing a wedding, graduation or special family celebration. Vi loved spending time with her family and friends and will be truly missed by all.
