Virginia was precious. Gentle, tough, so very intelligent, caring, perceptive, and bold, self assured. She was a remarkable person. I am grateful for knowing her.
Aunt Gin was special to me as you know. My heart aches at her passing.
So many good memories of Aunt Gin. Her optimism and love of life were infectious. I don’t think I ever left her home without a sack full of memorabilia about the Martin Family.
Extending heartfelt sympathy to the Johnson families. My sister, Janet Johnson, really enjoyed visiting with Virginia. I remember Virginia’s friendly, welcoming smile.
Aunt Virginia was a wealth of information about Martin family history. Will miss her stories and her kindness.
Aunt Gin will be greatly missed by her family and friends, our thoughts are with them all. She was an exceptional person and lived a very fulfilling life, we are deeply saddened by her passing.
I will miss Aunt Virginia’s stories and family history lessons, She was a wonderful person and will be deeply missed.
When I look back on my life I often think of what it was like raising my children.
As a mother and grandmother I appreciate all those who helped raise them ……those who walked beside me, encouraged me, who shared their laps with and loved my children and all children with abounding love. Who always loved anyway beyond a child’s naughtiness or limitations. Virginia was one of them and I am eternally grateful. Virginia shared with me the longing she and Leon had for children and how those precious little ones finally appeared. Lance, Marna and Neale you have lost a dear dear person and have gained a great example of how to pass on the gifts your mother gave you.
I am so sorry. I am viewing online and keeping you all in my heart and sending love.

Aunt Gin and Uncle Leon were my godparents and no matter how old I got, they always sent a word of love on my birthday or Christmas. Aunt Gin had so much knowledge and history of the Martin family, and I would love to listen to her stories of growing up on the farm. She was brave, intelligent, full of grace and kindness, and fiercely protective of her family. I was fortunate to spend my birthday with her two years ago, where we reminisced and she regaled us with incredible memories. I will miss her very much. My thoughts and prayers are with Lance, Marna and Neale and their families.
