Wallace Bartch

Wallace (Wally) Gene Bartch, 69, of Grand Forks, ND passed away at his home on Saturday, April 12, 2008. He was born on July 3, 1938 to James and Esther Bartch in Minot, ND. He graduated from Antler High School in Antler, ND in 1956 and then attended Minot State College. He was in the grocery business and started out in Minot with Red Owl. He then moved to Bottineau where he also was with Red Owl. Wally then moved to Hillsboro in 1969 where he owned and operated the Jack and Jill Store. He lived in Hillsboro for 10 years. He then moved to Grand Forks where he owned and operated a janitorial/carpet cleaning business with Arlene Helm. He enjoyed family gatherings, joking around, fishing, horse races, watching sports, and dancing. He is survived by his children: Kristy (Steve) Magnusson, Kim (Rick) Folstrom, Kelly (Dennis) Hill, Kirk Bartch, Kory Bartch, and Kari (Gene) Patselov; 14 Grandchildren; and 6 Great Grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his father, James Bartch, and his mother, Esther Mizuer. The funeral will be at 1:00 P.M. Wednesday, at Our Savior?s Lutheran Church, Hillsboro. There will be a visitation from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Tuesday in Wildeman Funeral Home with a Prayer Service at 6:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be the Antler Cemetery, Antler, ND.
