Wayne Henry Hajicek, 72, passed away June 23, 2022 at St. Catherine South, Fargo, ND by his wife’s side.

Wayne was born November 13, 1949 to Henry and June Hajicek in Grafton, ND. He grew up in Grand Forks and attended school in the area. Wayne then graduated from Grand Forks Central High School and enlisted in the Marines. After his time in the service, Wayne worked for Minnkota power company for over 30 years. He met and married Diane Kouba and had two sons, Wayne “Butch” and Kevin. Wayne enjoyed many things in life but especially, wood carving and fishing. He will be dearly missed by all who knew him.

Wayne is survived by his wife, Diane; sons, Wayne “Butch” (Lissett) Hajicek of Grand Forks, Kevin Hajicek of Buxton; and 3 grandchildren, Jordan Hajicek, Brooke Milling, and Spencer Peterson.

Wayne was preceded in death by his parents; and sister, Donna Gullickson.

Visitation will take place from 9:00-10:00 AM followed by a funeral service at 10:00 AM Wednesday, June 29, 2022 at Boulger Funeral Home and Celebration of Life Center, Fargo. Burial will take place at 1:00 PM Wednesday at the Fargo National Cemetery.
