Wayne Schlichting

Wayne passed away on Thursday, December 10, 2020 at his home in West Fargo, North Dakota. Wayne was born on November 8, 1936, near Edgeley, North Dakota, the son of Herman and Bertha Schlichting. He grew up in this area and received his education. For the past years, Wayne has made his home in West Fargo where he could be closer to family. He loved spending his days watching his Western Movies, following baseball games, and was known for his good sense of humor. Wayne was a hard working, good man, who appreciated the simple things in life – he will be missed by his family and friends. Wayne is survived by his daughter, Robin (Jim) Giles of College Station, Texas; and his son, John (Anne Marie) Schlichting of Burleson, Texas; his grandchildren – Jason Giles and Stephanie Schlichting; and his great-grandchildren – Travis Giles, Kyler and Benjamin Giles and Isabella Schlichting. He was preceded in death by her grandson, James “Jimmy” Giles III; and his brother, Harry Schlichting. Wayne is also survived by Marlys’ children – Joann (Clarence) Entzminger, Will Schlichting, Doug (Debra) Schlichting, Vernon Schlichting, and James Schlichting; and many other very dear relatives and friends.
