Willard C. Jacobs, 85, Fargo passed away Wednesday, August 17 at Sanford Health, Fargo.

Willard was born October 21, 1925 to Isaac and Margaret (Karges) Jacobs in Fargo, N.D. Willard enlisted into the United States Navy in Dec., 1942. He served on the USS Marlin 55205 and the USS ODAX 55484 before being discharged in 1946. Following his discharge from the service, Willard worked as an electrician for 41 years and was a member of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers. He retired in 1987. On December 27, 1948, Willard married Angela Bertrand in St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church, Fargo.

Willard enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening and woodworking.

Willard is survived by his wife of 62 years, Angela, Fargo, ND; children; Peggy (DeWayne) Dunham, Audubon, MN; Kathryn (Roy Chavez) Jacobs, Albuquerque, NM; Susan (Leonard "Rick") Skodje, Big Lake, MN; Marilyn (Allen) Schaar, Wichita, KS; Michael Jacobs, Winona, MN; Thomas Jacobs, Detroit Lakes, MN; Barbara (Kevin Poppen) Jacobs, Moorhead, MN; grandchildren; Brian, Patrick, Dan, Danielle, Jake, Ryan, Candace, and great-grandchildren; Samantha, Claire, Jonathan, Keigo, and Hugo.

Willard was preceded in death by his parents, brother, James Jacobs, and grandson, Scott Spieker.
