William "Bill" Klose

William Klose 84, Casselton formerly Eckleson ND, passed away January 29, 2022, at the Veterans Hospital in Fargo ND. Finally ending his ongoing battle with dementia, now he is finally at peace. Born July 17, 1937 to the union of Francis and Ursula “Gladys” Klose. He received his education in Jamestown. He enlisted in the Army National Guards in 1955. Later he enlisted into the Navy. He was Honorably Discharged from his service October 1967. He Married Laurel “Lolly” (Murchie)Vee in 1982, Joining her and her 4 Children. He loved the outdoors. You could always find him out hunting and fishing. Bill loved teaching his kids,grandkids and nephews how to hunt and fish. He also enjoyed trapping throughout the year. Lolly and Bill raised a lot of exotic animals, mostly bird over the years. Added to the list of many things he enjoyed was gardening and watching his geese. The geese liked to untie his shoes. Once in a while you would find him visiting his friend Buddy. Buddy was a little buck that would come into the farm yard to visit.He was a very patient, loving and kind hearted man. There was never a time that we can remember that he wouldn’t help his family or friends. Touching so many lives over the years with his stories and teaching of many things. Survived by his wife of almost 40 years Laurel, Children Bill (Tarii) Klose MN, Sons Colin, Nathan, Nikolas,Belinda Klose Minneapolis MN, Ella (Dave) Cruz Casselton ND, Children Chris Alber and Neil Wells (Aiden),Mark (Heidi) Klose, daughter Micayla, Melissa (Brian) Klose Roberts, Children April (Cory) Miller, Sasha (Nick) Capman, Zach (Olivia) Miller, Michelle (Jason) Linz, Children Johnathan Vee and Amber Linz Jamestown. 4 great grandchildren. Sister Lorraine Zimney, Linda (Harry)Ebele. Many nieces and nephews, and friends. He was proceeded in death by his parents; a brother Elmer Klose; Sister Beverly Wagner; 2 Nephews and a Niece. At Bills request there will be no funeral service. In the spring there will be a memorial done at the National Veterans Cemetery. Boulger Funeral home is in charge of his cremation.

  1. There are many good memories I have of our hunting and fishing adventures and Bill was always willing to make our experiences complete with his knowledge and enthusiasm. He was someone I will always remember.
