William Lawrence Jones

William Lawrence Jones, age 66, passed away peacefully in his home on December 4, 2024.

Born on November 9, 1958 in Minneapolis, MN. William was a beloved husband, father, and friend. He was known for his infectious sense of humor and love of the outdoors.

William shared 46 wonderful years with his devoted wife, Virginia. Together they built a family and cherished every moment they spent together. They had 3 wonderful children: Jennifer Jones (Stephen), Aimee Schroeder (Jeremy), and Derek Jones. Plus 7 grandchildren: Elizabeth (Eric), Kristian, Jason, Isabella, Mara, Noah and Sophia and they were his absolute pride and joy.

A man of varied interests, William was particularly passionate about fishing, often finding solace in the outdoors and nature. He also spent his weekends going thrift shopping with his wife looking for hidden treasures. His love for cars was evident while watching Barrett-Jackson car auctions, where he would often tell the grandkids little facts about each vehicle.

William’s legacy is one of stubbornness, laughter, love, and a deep appreciation for the simple things in life. his sense of humor brightened the lives of those around him, leaving a lasting impression on everyone he met. He will always be remembered as a devoted husband, father and grandfather.
