William C. Pickard Fargo, North Dakota William passed away on Wednesday, August 27, 2008 at Innovis Health under Hospice Care in Fargo at the age of 76. His wife of 54 years and his 3 children were by his side as he left this world to go home to our Lord. William C. Pickard was born on November 18, 1931 at the family home in Bisbee, ND, the son of Gordon and Carrie (Cookman) Pickard. He graduated from 8th grade at Ellsworth, ND and from high school at Bisbee. Bill was united in marriage to Janice Kaye Marie Jolliffe on October 20, 1954 at Thorne, ND. They farmed with his parents at Mylo, ND and in 1955 moved to Virginia, MN where he worked in the Iron Mines driving truck for Foley Construction. In 1958 they moved to Rolla, ND where he worked for Hyndman Implement parts and sales. He later worked for Bruce Theel Motors from 1962 until 1974. They moved to Devils Lake, ND in 1974 where he worked for Harrington Inc and also was the Eagles Club Manager. He also owned and operated Pics Pub from July of 1992 until 1997. William is survived by his loving wife of 54 years, Janice of Fargo; his daughter, Jeannie (Jim) Foster of Fargo; his sons, Jeff (Cindy) Pickard of West Fargo; and Scott (Lisa) Pickard of East Grand Forks, MN; 10 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren (and 2 on the way). Also surviving are his sisters, Phyllis Riediger of Bisbee, ND; Helen Parker of Seattle, WA; Alice Pickard of Woodburn, OR; and Dora Davis of Fargo; and several nieces and nephews.
