Lori's parents and mine (Warren and Marge) were best friends. Indeed, Bob and Marilyn are my godparents. Lori and I shared many childhood memories. This photo captures one that probably neither of us remembered because we were too young. But we do remember gathering at the Opperman lake cottage for many Fourth of July celebrations. Now, Lori has rowed with her Lord and Shepherd across the Sea of Galilee through storm and calm, sorrows and joys, to arrive beyond all shores, horizon without end, dwelling in the house of the Lord forever.
